The goal of the platform is to contribute for the development of Tobacco City project as an area for actions and interventions in the public space, for occasions and topics of public debate. One of its main functions is to become a place for sharing different visions, projects and opportunities concerning the future of "The Tobacco City". This is also one of the directions in which the "Plovdiv 2019" foundation is working on the upgrading of the project "The Tobacco City", which has been embedded in the platform "Transformation", a part of the program of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.
Our work upon this project was complicated and interesting. The complicity is due mainly to the fact that the content and the development of the project could not be fixated. We had to create a "tool" which is as flexible as possible, which could offer the future editors of the site the possibility to change the interface and the structure of the website and create documents with different design. We replaced the classic adaptive grid with a modular system. The control panel gives rich opportunities for modification of the pages. By selecting a set of elements and their options the administrators can graphically focus the consumer's attention.

On 19 of May, 2015, Plovdiv has been awarded with the official title European Capital of Culture. This is the year when Plovdiv 2019 began a new phase and therefore update it's structure. The main objective of the foundation is strategic development and implementation of the bid book. The Foundation works with partner organizations in the city, country and abroad. Co-produce, produce and coordinate the implementation of numerous social and educational processes, festivals, concerts, exhibitions, performances, workshops and discussions. It stimulates the decentralization of culture across the city. All part of the bid book "Plovdiv Together 2019"
