Art‑Driven Web Experience
The project began as an exploration. Our studio often experiments with emerging technologies, searching for unconventional ways to shape digital environments. The portfolio of Philip Popov became the perfect canvas to apply these explorations in a real‑world project. The challenge was to merge two visual dimensions—3D and 2D—into a single coherent narrative that reflects the depth of Philip’s artistic universe. We built an organic connection between WebGL‑based 3D space and a 2D interactive interface, both constructed from the same visual source: Philip’s digital artworks. This approach allowed the website to function not only as a portfolio but as a reinterpretation of his creative language. The result is a fluid, atmospheric environment where visitors can navigate through his work in a new, unexpected way.
The website received significant international acclaim, including an Honorable Mention from Awwwards, CSSDA Special Kudos, and distinctions such as Winner of the Day (CSSReel) and Featured of the Day (CSSLight). Beyond the awards, the project expanded the visibility of Philip Popov’s work and showcased a fresh approach to presenting digital art online. The project reaffirmed how technology can extend the reach of artistic expression. By blending experimental techniques with strong visual identity, we created a digital experience that stands as both portfolio and artistic statement.
