A Digital Identity Built for a performance director

Chris Baldwin’s world is shaped by people, places, and the stories that bind them. Our task was to translate this living, ever‑shifting creative universe into a digital form — not as a static portfolio, but as a tool for narrative construction. The result is a website that breathes, adapts, and invites new stories to emerge.

A Symbol Born from Space and Structure

The logo is a geometric interpretation of the initials CB, distilled into a minimal architectural form. The enclosed negative space echoes the idea of a performance hall — a place where stories unfold, voices resonate, and communities gather. It is both personal and universal, mirroring Baldwin’s dramaturgical philosophy.

Creating a Modular Digital Platform for Artistic Narratives

Digital identity

We were asked to design a digital identity and website capable of presenting complex artistic work while remaining flexible enough to host new stories, projects, and collaborations. The platform needed to support multimedia content, dynamic layouts, and a storytelling approach that mirrors Baldwin’s citizen‑centred dramaturgy.

Solution

We developed a modular interface built from custom content blocks — a digital “Lego set” allowing Chris to assemble narratives in countless configurations. Text, photography, and video merge seamlessly through fluid transitions and a restrained typographic system based on Inter Var, chosen for its clarity and expressive neutrality. The visual effects are not decorative; they serve the rhythm of the story, guiding the viewer through layered artistic worlds.

A Living Digital Identity

A Living Digital Identity That Evolves with Every New Story. The website functions as a narrative instrument — flexible, expressive, and deeply aligned with his artistic practice.
