Contextus - Art Exhibition Digital Concept & Web Experience for an International Contemporary Art Exhibition
Digital storytelling for contemporary art in public space
CONTEXTUS is more than an exhibition — it is a living dialogue between artists, city structures and the people moving through them. Our role was to translate this ephemeral artistic energy into a digital space that preserves its rawness, its tension, and its poetic unpredictability. As artists ourselves, we approached the project not as service providers, but as co‑authors of its narrative.
Creating a digital identity for a public‑space art exhibition
The challenge was to build a digital environment capable of carrying the conceptual weight of CONTEXTUS — an international project dedicated to temporary artistic interventions in urban space. The platform had to reflect the diversity of the participating artists, the curatorial vision, and the philosophical references to Joseph Beuys, while remaining intuitive and visually uncompromising.
A curated digital experience shaped by context
We developed a visual and structural concept inspired by the project’s core idea — the interdependence between environment and artistic action. The website blends documentary photography, spatial compositions and minimalistic typography, allowing each installation to breathe within its own digital “public space.” Our team curated the exhibition itself and simultaneously crafted its online presence, ensuring that the physical and digital narratives remain inseparable.
A digital archive that preserves a moment in contemporary art
The final platform became a coherent digital extension of the exhibition — a place where temporary interventions gain lasting visibility. CONTEXTUS reached a wider international audience, strengthened the identity of the Week of Contemporary Art, and established a new standard for how public‑space art can be experienced online.
