A digital stage built for a digital scenographer

Petko Tanchev is a media artist and scenographer creating interactive mapping installations that weave virtual and physical worlds. Presenting the work of Petko Tanchev required more than a portfolio — it demanded a space capable of breathing with his ideas. We created an environment where WebGL, motion, and typography merge into a single narrative layer, allowing his projects to unfold with the same intensity they carry on stage. The result is a site that doesn’t simply display his work, but resonates with it.

Designing a platform for immersive digital scenography

Our goal

Our goal was to translate Tanchev’s artistic language into a digital medium without diluting its complexity. We built a hybrid structure where HTML and WebGL coexist as one system, fully controlled through a custom CMS. Every animation, shader and transition was crafted from scratch, ensuring that the visual logic of the site mirrors the logic of his stage worlds — precise, atmospheric, and deeply experiential.

Every animation, shader and transition was crafted from scratch, ensuring that the visual logic of the site mirrors the logic of his stage worlds — precise, atmospheric, and deeply experiential. The final platform blends functionality with artistic presence. WebGL is not decoration but content — dynamic, responsive, and tied to the narrative of each project. Smooth transitions, custom shaders and GSAP‑driven interactions create a sense of depth and continuity. The site became a living digital landscape, capable of carrying the emotional and conceptual weight of Tanchev’s scenography.

International recognition and industry awards
