Das TaschenWerk Web design. Branding. Photography.
Contemporary design ahead of its time
The reason we included this veteran project from 2012 in our new portfolio is not simply to highlight our long history. It stands as proof that when design is approached strategically, with a forward‑looking mindset, the result remains relevant long after trends have shifted. The Das TaschenWerk website still feels modern — both technologically and visually — without any updates since its launch. Elements that were bold and experimental at the time have gradually become established best practices: from the typographic proportions to the modular layout and the minimalist product photography. This project demonstrates how thoughtful planning, constructive aesthetics and a premium attention to detail can outlive visual cycles, technologies and industry trends.
The Logo | analysis
The Das TaschenWerk logo is built on industrial geometry and strict modularity. Its monochrome palette reinforces the brand’s functional character, while the structural composition conveys precision, craftsmanship and an engineered identity. Minimalist yet distinctive, it remains visually stable over time.
Scope and project objectives
We handled the complete digital presence of Das TaschenWerk — web design, development, brand identity and product photography. The main objective was to create a premium visual system that presents the brand as a modern manufacturer with a strong focus on craftsmanship and detail. The solution needed to be functional, durable and visually unique.
Approach, execution and impact
We developed a minimalist constructive platform based on clear typographic hierarchy, modular composition and photography that highlights materials and craftsmanship. The web development was optimized for speed and stability, while the identity was designed for long‑term recognition. The outcome is a website that remains relevant more than a decade later — a testament to the power of well‑considered design. The project also received recognition: 3rd place at Computerspace 2012. The conclusion is simple: when vision, discipline and respect for detail guide the process, digital solutions outlast trends and become lasting brand assets.
