Art Installations in a digital environment

“Sculptural Installations” stands at the intersection of artistic practice and digital experimentation. Conceived as a self‑initiated project, it explores how a physical art concept can evolve into an interactive web experience without losing its emotional depth, material presence or narrative tension.

Sculptural Forms & Macro Photography

At the core of the project lies a series of miniature sculptural objects—imagined organisms captured through macro photography. Their shapes evoke emotional states: tension, intimacy, fear, attraction. Each photograph acts as an independent scene where composition and light construct a story of their own. The photography does not document; it interprets. It transforms the small objects into autonomous characters placed within their own environment and rhythm. The result is a visual narrative about evolution, survival and transformation.

Idea, Design & Execution

The entire project was developed in‑house—from the sculptural concept and macro photography to the web design and development. The main objective was to create a digital environment that does not simply display images but constructs a guided experience. The goal was to translate a static art series into an interactive narrative that leads the viewer through emotional states without relying on conventional gallery interfaces.

Experimental Web Interface

We designed an interface based on a sliding viewport—an avant‑garde navigation method for 2012. The layout consisted of nine equal segments arranged in a three‑by‑three grid. With every interaction, the entire canvas shifted toward the selected section. This approach created a cinematic flow that amplified the character of the photographs and turned the website into an art piece in its own right. The project demonstrates how an artistic idea can expand through digital form and remains an example of how experimentation—both technological and visual—can shape a new type of web experience.
